The Four Foundations of Mindfulness: Mindful of Feelings

Mindfulness of feelings involves observing and understanding feelings or sensations as they arise in response to experiences. Feelings may fall into three categories: pleasant, unpleasant, or neutral. Through mindfulness we learn to recognize these feelings without clinging to or aversion towards them. This develops our capacity to meet experience just as it is, with clear, stable attention.
